US President Barack Obama will likely give his adopted hometown of Chicago an edge in its bid to host the 2016 Olympics, former International Olympic Committee president Juan Antonio Samaranch said on Wednesday.
"There are four candidates and each one has its programme and possibilities. Obviously the presence of Barack Obama could be a positive point for Chicago's candidacy," he told AFP on the sidelines of the first edition of the Global Sports Forum in Barcelona. Read full story
